From the open plains of the Masai Mara, the shimmery pink waters of Lake Nakuru, and the swamps of Amboseli, this safari provides the perfect opportunity to spot the Big-5 and to capture some diverse scenery including experiencing a tree lodge, where one can enjoy watching the animals gathering at a waterhole from the comfort of the confines of the lodge.

Nairobi Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the Nairobi Serena Hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis

Nairobi – Masai Mara Game Reserve Leaving Nairobi after an early breakfast, you'll travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Look for the charming chapel they built at the foot of the escarpment. You'll pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Valley to Narok, and then travel across acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Masai Mara and your lodge in time for lunch. There will be an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Mara Serena Lodge on a full board basis

Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru Lodge Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, you'll travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at Lake Nakuru around midday. The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. After lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru Lodge – Mount Kenya Leave after breakfast and drive towards Mount Kenya arriving at Mountain Lodge for lunch. This is a tree lodge set in a forest glade with a waterhole that attracts all sorts of wildlife during the day and night. The waterhole is floodlit and there is an underground viewing platform. Overnight at Mountain Lodge on a full board basis

Mount Kenya - Amboseli An early morning start takes you to Nairobi for lunch. After Lunch continue to Amboseli for a game drive enroute to your lodge. Overnight Amboseli Serena Lodge on full board basis

Amboseli - Nairobi After breakfast you’ll depart for Nairobi. You’ll arrive into Kenya’s bustling capital at midday. Once in the city, you will be dropped off at a city centre hotel or the airport for your ongoing travel arrangements. End of itinerary

All transport and game drives on road safaris will be in a modern safari cruiser (with seven window seats) with an English speaking driver-guide on shared basis. This tour starts from Nairobi on Mondays - last departure will be 6 December 2010
Safari vehicle luggage space is limited, please pack sparingly. A strict baggage allowance of 15 kilos per person, including hand luggage, is appreciated. The carriage of excess baggage is not guaranteed.

One child aged 7 - 11 years sharing with 2 adults pays 50% of the safari cost

Passenger information:
• Passengers should bring only soft sided bags on safaris.
• All the passengers must have Identification Card/Passport with them for internal flights.
• Baggage on internal flights is strictly limited to 15kgs per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.
• The tour is modular and combines with other tours so there may be need for clients to change vehicles on occasion.
A visa is required to enter both Kenya and Tanzania. Please go to Kenyan Embassy and Tanzania-Online to obtain the latest visa requirements.
